Come together to create a school that prepares us for life's challenges. Find a way to use your strengths and manage your weaknesses, learn to work as a team and plan projects. Take responsibility for your choices, your education and the world around you.
The world is changing faster and faster. We are trying to prepare for a future full of change and unforeseen opportunities.
We are born with a natural desire to learn. At Scio School, it is us, students, who influence how we learn and what we learn. It is up to us to choose the path we take to achieve our goals.
We want to try out different team roles and discover our strengths in school projects.
If you are preparing for your first year of secondary school, or if you are not satisfied with your current school, do not hesitate and fill out the application form. (The school language is Czech.)
We accept students from grade 1 to grade 3.
Taking responsibility, making decisions and acting even in uncertain situations are skills that are valued more than encyclopaedic knowledge. And this will be doubly true in the future.
We as students have the opportunity to influence what, when and how we will learn. We are responsible for our own learning. We are driven by inner motivation - learning therefore (mostly) brings us joy.
Teamwork is essential for a healthy school. We strive to respect each other. We take care to maintain good relationships and a relaxed atmosphere.
We all have different abilities and different ways of learning. We have the opportunity to learn in a way that suits us all. We listen to each other and support each other's strengths.
Education is the work of all of us: teachers, students and parents. We maintain regular contact, consult with each other, and when problems arise, we seek solutions openly and together with the students and their parents.
We support activities outside of the school, we invite inspiring guests to our lessons. We solve real situations from which we learn new things. We want to be able to apply our knowledge in real life.
Even though our school differs from most Czech schools in many ways, it operates in full compliance with current legislation. The CSI has repeatedly described the approach of all ScioSchools as inspiring for other schools. The CSI visited our school in its first year of operation. You can read the full report here.
Even freedom in education has its limits. We monitor our students' progress towards the goals we have set together. The national final exams ("maturita") are a big challenge for most students, and we make sure that students sufficiently prepare for them during their studies.
We create a favourable environment for our students to pass university entrance exams. We cater for all the needs of our students. We also benefit from our parent company Scio's many years of experience in university entrance exam preparation courses.
